The Korea Heritage Service and the Korea Heritage Agency announced the first K-Heritage Stage showcase for Friday, November 13, 2026, at 19:30 at the KOUS performance venue in Seoul. Two teams including practitioners of nationally designated intangible heritage are scheduled to present creative performances. The event was announced as free with first-come booking. The item displayed an unavailable notice on October 25, but its signed-out screen showed an enabled November 13 date and a “1매” badge on the 19:30 session button at 06:28 Korea time on October 26. Neither a completed reservation nor later seat availability was verified.

The K-Heritage Stage booking item cited in the official performance outline showed an unavailable notice on October 25. At 06:28 Korea time on October 26, its signed-out screen instead showed an enabled November 13 date and a 19:30 session button bearing a “1매” badge. The badge is not a ticket-quantity selector; that screen is not proof of a successful reservation or guaranteed later availability. Before applying, check the performance name, date and time against the agency announcement and the organizer's latest notice; confirm completion on your own reservation screen. A different venue performance is not a substitute booking.

What will be performed?

  • Minier, “Ogwi: Purification of Five Emotions” (오귀: 다섯 감정의 정화): The announced work draws on artistic elements of Gangneung Danoje and the Namhaean Byeolsingut ritual, combining ritual music with contemporary dance.
  • Haeo, “Brilliant New World: Interworld” (찬란한 신세계: Interworld): This work combines the formal aesthetics of Jongmyo Jeryeak with pansori singing and narrative and contemporary sound.

After the performances, expert evaluation and an on-site audience vote are planned to select one work for follow-on support in 2027. That is an announced process, not a report of a winner.

In brief

The announcement schedules a free, approximately 70-minute showcase at KOUS for November 13 at 19:30. The booking item showed an unavailable notice on October 25 but a “1매” badge on the 19:30 session button at 06:28 Korea time on October 26. No completed reservation or later seat availability was verified; check the organizer's current notice and your own confirmation screen.

Free admission is not a cash grant for the audience

The announcement contains two different kinds of support with different beneficiaries. All seats were announced as free for spectators at this November showcase, subject to the originally announced booking process. Creative grants, expert consultation, documentation of the production process and publicity, by contrast, are support for the two artistic teams chosen through a competition in June. Reserving a free seat, watching a performance or voting in the venue does not give an audience member a creative grant. The agency did not describe a separate cash-aid application for spectators.

The plan is to use expert assessment and a vote by the audience present after the two performances to select one work for follow-on support in 2027. The selected work is expected to receive production funding, help mounting a full performance, and opportunities at an arts market that supports distribution. That is a planned selection process, not an already announced winner. Nor does an on-site audience vote establish a remote voting route. Check the organizer's actual instructions if a voting procedure matters to your visit.

Two works, not two showings of the same piece

Minier, including Gangneung Danoje practitioner Seong Hwi-gyeong, is described as a nine-person team. Its work reinterprets artistic elements of Gangneung Danoje and Namhaean Byeolsingut, combining ritual music and contemporary dance to portray five emotions. Haeo, including pansori practitioner Kim Yul-hui, is also described as a nine-person team. Its work brings the structural aesthetics of Jongmyo Jeryeak together with pansori narrative and contemporary sound. The announcement presents these as two distinct creative works, not two bookable time slots for the same performance.

The official outline gives a 19:30 start and a 70-minute event duration at KOUS. It does not establish the minute-by-minute running order or duration of each individual work, so avoid calculating a departure time from an invented interval. A free ticket price is separate from a confirmed reservation and current seat availability. The display changed between the October 25 unavailable notice and the October 26 selector; it does not establish why the earlier notice appeared or guarantee later seats, a walk-up allocation, or another performance. Look for the organizer's current notice and the exact K-Heritage Stage session before making plans.
