Checked October 31, 2026. Korea's Rural Development Administration (RDA) is running a third rural healing, hands-on experience and food promotion alongside Rural Tourism Week from October 30 through November 15, 2026. Its original release says visitors should register a review and proof photo through a QR code at a participating venue after the visit. It does not instruct people to scan an arbitrary code found online.
Check the venue before setting out
The RDA directs visitors to the temporary "Rural Tourism Week event" notice on the home page of Nongsaro, the agricultural technology portal, for venue information. Because that home-page notice is temporary, check the latest event page and confirm opening days, reservations, activities and costs with the venue itself.
The relevant venues are participating certified or exemplary healing-agriculture facilities, certified rural education farms, and farm-to-table restaurants supported by the RDA. The release does not say that every countryside restaurant or farm is included.
What to submit on site
- Visit an eligible venue during the event and take part in an activity or have a meal.
- Use the QR code displayed at that venue to submit a visit or experience review and a verification photo. Review any photo-use and privacy terms before uploading.
- The RDA plans to select 100 participants to receive locally processed agricultural products. This is not a gift for every visitor or every review. Check the current event notice for selection and shipping details.
A date distinction matters: the Policy Briefing page was posted on October 30, but the attached RDA PDF states an October 27 press time. Neither date changes the actual participation window of October 30–November 15.
Bottom line: Confirm a participating venue through Nongsaro, then use its on-site QR code after your visit. The cover is an AI-generated concept photo, not an actual event sign or scannable code. A concise Korean version is on Life Mokcha's Naver blog.
