As checked on the morning of October 30, 2026 (Korea time): The Ministry of Personnel Management has announced the second-stage results of the 2026 national Grade-7 open competitive recruitment exam. Start with your own result on the National Civil Service Recruitment System. The 6:00 p.m. October 30 deadline in the official notice concerns registering withdrawal from the interview, not applying to attend it. This article cannot verify any candidate's private result, successful submission, or the live availability of a login-only service.
| Your situation | First check | Avoid this mistake |
|---|---|---|
| You do not know your stage-two result | Match your exam number against the correct notice and check your result after login | Inferring your result from the overall pass count |
| You passed and intend to attend | Read the attached interview date/venue notice and interview instructions | Treating the withdrawal form as an attendance form |
| You passed but will not attend | Read the withdrawal period and official submission route | Assuming absence itself records a withdrawal |
| You want your stage-two score | Check the score-release date for your result group | Equating the pass-status check with score availability |

Find your own result, not just the headline total
The ministry's October 28 press release says 820 candidates passed stage two: 200 in science and technology tracks and 620 in administrative tracks. These are second-stage passers, not final appointees. They do not reveal any individual's result.
On the official recruitment portal, open Open Recruitment → Exam Information → Exam Notices and find the notice titled “2026년도 국가공무원 7급 공개경쟁채용 제2차시험 합격자 발표” (Ministry Notice 2026-565, posted October 28; the notice itself bears an October 29 date). The notice says attachments 2-1 and 2-2 contain the pass list by candidate number only, a measure intended to limit discrimination and privacy risks. Check the correct recruitment track and your own candidate number; do not confuse this notice with the Grade-5, Grade-9, meteorological Grade-7, or experienced-hire examinations.
The same notice asks candidates to confirm their pass status after signing in through My Page → Application Status → Pass/Score Inquiry (마이페이지 → 응시현황 → 합격/성적조회). The announced start for checking pass status is October 29 at 9:00 a.m. We have not reproduced any candidate numbers or tested a personal login.
If you will attend: read the interview attachments
The press release gives November 23–26, 2026 as the four-day interview period and December 11 as the planned final-results date. Passing stage two is not the same as final selection.
The recruitment-system notice specifically directs successful candidates to read its attachments on interview withdrawal, interview dates and venues, and the interview participation instructions. The four-day general window does not identify your own appointment date, venue, arrival time, or required documents. Use the relevant official attachments and any personalized portal notice rather than inferring individual details from the press-release headline.
There is a separate point for the correctional-service track: the portal notice lists October 30 as the date of its practical-test announcement and November 12 as the practical-test date. It directs readers to the Ministry of Justice's notice for details such as the venue. This does not mean that everyone who passed the Grade-7 stage-two examination must take a practical test; check whether it applies to your recruitment track.

October 30 at 6:00 p.m.: withdrawal, not attendance registration
According to Notice 2026-565, the withdrawal procedure is for a stage-two passer who does not intend to attend the interview. The announced registration period is October 29 at 9:00 a.m. through October 30 at 6:00 p.m., 2026, in Korea time. The notice says the portal permits registration around the clock during the period except that the final day ends at 6:00 p.m. Its stated route is to sign in and select Interview/Document Screening → Register Interview Withdrawal (면접시험/서류전형 → 면접시험 포기 등록).
The notice also says that a successful candidate who does not separately register withdrawal is automatically regarded as an interview participant, including any applicable practical test. Do not tell someone who plans to attend that they must use the withdrawal menu to reserve a place. Conversely, do not assume that simply not turning up has recorded a formal withdrawal. A candidate considering withdrawal should check the current official instructions and their own submission status. The published deadline does not prove the live portal is working, that authentication succeeds, or that a submission was accepted.
Pass-status checks and score checks start on different dates
The notice separates the stage-two score viewing periods as follows:
| Stage-two result | Published score-viewing period |
|---|---|
| Did not pass | October 29 at 9:00 a.m. through December 31, 2026 |
| Passed | December 11 at 9:00 a.m. through December 31, 2026 |
Both use the portal's My Page → Application Status → Pass/Score Inquiry route after login. An October 29 pass-status check does not mean a passer's second-stage score is available that day. Nor is either score period the interview-withdrawal window. The notice gives no explicit December 31 closing time, so do not assume a particular hour.
Read the published statistics without double counting
The attached ministry PDF reports an average age of 28.7 years, compared with 28.3 in the previous year's Grade-7 exam, and 504 men and 316 women among the 820 passers. It also says 22 candidates were added under the regional-talent target in six recruitment units and 11 under the gender-balance target in five units. Do not add those figures to 820 again as if they were a second set outside the announced total. None of these aggregate figures determines an individual's pass status or final selection chances.
In brief: Find the correct Grade-7 open-competition notice, match your candidate number, verify your status after login, read the interview attachments, and use the withdrawal procedure only if it applies to you. Later amendments to the official notice should take precedence over this dated guide.
