Korea Customs says its dedicated e-commerce clearance platform moved from a pilot on August 28, 2026, to a formal opening on October 26. Its official portal is a starting point for managing a personal customs clearance ID and checking import information. Opening a portal does not guarantee same-day clearance for a particular parcel.

As of October 28, 2026. Service names below were visible on the portal’s signed-out home page. Individual identity checks and completed transactions were not tested.

Find the service that matches your question

  • Forgot your ID or changed registered details? The home page lists “personal customs clearance ID lookup/information change” and a separate new-issuance service. The announcement does not say existing IDs are automatically cancelled or that everyone must reapply.
  • Suspect an import you did not order? Import-history lookup and ID-misuse reporting are separate listed services. Compare the item with your own orders, then follow the portal’s current reporting guidance. Filing a report does not establish an investigation result or immediate compensation.
  • Need to review a verification code? The page lists verification-code issuance messages and says one-time codes can also be checked in “My Messages.” A visible menu does not establish that a code was issued to you.

Enter the official portal address directly rather than treating an arbitrary delivery-message link as official. Avoid sharing your ID or verification code unnecessarily.

What has not been established

The agency presents the one-time-code system as a way to prevent ID misuse. Its release and signed-out page do not settle individual issuance criteria, detailed use limits, SMS steps, or each merchant’s and carrier’s process. The stated prevention goal is not a guarantee that every personal transaction is secure.

The agency also describes faster processing for shipments with sufficient transaction information or trusted operators and stronger inspection of high-risk shipments outside the platform. This is not a promise of same-day clearance, duty exemption or waived inspection for an individual order. Follow the current portal instructions and your own clearance status.
