The 2026 Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival is scheduled for October 2–11 on Nodeul Island. The outdoor laser and media-art exhibition is advertised for 6:30–10:30 p.m. each day. But an evening spent viewing installations is not the same plan as entering one of the live-house performances: the latter have separate, first-come-first-served reservations by show and session. Use this guide to decide which itinerary you actually need. It reflects public information checked September 28, not a visit or a confirmed ticket. Seoul city festival notice

If you want to see the outdoor exhibition

Both the festival operator's laser-art page and Seoul city's notice give October 2–11, 6:30–10:30 p.m. for the exhibition. The theme is “Rhapsody of Light.” The programme proposes laser art using the riverside environment, as well as installations across bridges, outdoor areas and indoor exhibition areas. These are plans rather than confirmation that a given installation will be operating when you arrive. The festival homepage and terms describe general festival admission as free, not blanket, reservation-free access to every activity.

If you want a live-house show, choose the exact session

The operator's reservation page lists MUTO, CIFIKA and VAKKI live-house performances separately. Its public interface describes first-come-first-served reservations and all-standing admission. A displayed count of available “seats” does not promise an individually assigned seat. First select a show, then check the actual date, session time, availability and entry terms. Opening a reservation page is not a confirmed booking.

The September 28 public view showed that some sessions were “nearly full” while others said “available.” These momentary labels can change, so this article intentionally does not repeat a number of remaining places. We did not proceed through identity verification or complete an application. The VAKKI selection card also summarizes a time range that differs from its October 2 detailed session. Do not apply a summary time to every session: the date-specific detail is the planning reference. The individual performance fee was not established by this check.

Other programmes follow other dates

Seoul city and the operator's Donghaeng Light page announce a performance-and-donation programme on October 9–11, with a lighting fashion show planned for October 9. The Bitseom Lecture page describes free outdoor talks on October 9 and 10. Neither programme runs every day simply because the exhibition runs October 2–11. Some official pages disagree on precise end times; we therefore provide the dates rather than pretending that a disputed minute-by-minute schedule is settled. Recheck the chosen programme's detail and any day-of notice.

Getting to Nodeul Island after dark

The venue is Nodeul Island, 445 Yangnyeong-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The festival's directions describe a walk of about 700 metres from exit 2 of Nodeul Station (Line 9) toward Hangang Bridge and recommend public transport because parking is difficult. Seoul city and the festival operator announce a shuttle approximately every 15 minutes from 6:00–10:00 p.m., following Sinyongsan Station exit 4 → Nodeul Island → Nodeul Station exit 2 → Noryangjin Station exit 3. This is a planned service, not a live guarantee of punctual arrival or boarding; plan your trip home as well.

Before travelling, check the exhibition notice for your chosen date, the specific reserved show if relevant, and the return journey. Weather and safety concerns can change arrangements.
