The National Science Museum in Daejeon, South Korea, has announced “science busking”: a mobile experiment cart that meets visitors where they are. The ministry's September 30, 2026 release schedules it from October, on Fridays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. These are announced operating times, not confirmation that a particular future session or place is unchanged.
What makes it different from a fixed classroom session?
The museum describes a live, question-led format in which visitor responses can change the experiments presented. The initial operating area is around the Science Tunnel. Visitor flow, weather and conditions on site may move a session elsewhere within the museum. The announcement does not give a fixed experiment list for every performance.

A practical visit check
- Confirm that your date falls on a Friday or Sunday and the museum is open.
- Select the announced 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. slot, then check any same-day change.
- Start with the Science Tunnel but follow staff directions for the actual location.
- The museum visitor guide lists general admission as free (₩0). Some exhibition halls are separately ticketed and require reservations; some experiences in free halls may also require booking or a ticket. The science-busking programme's own participation fee and reservation rule are not established in its announcement or the performance booking list. Confirm your specific session with the museum information desk at 042-601-7979 before travelling.

A possible rollout to museums nationwide is a future plan, not an existing programme elsewhere. Our concise Korean Naver guide is separate.
