The right rail choice after landing at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 (T3) depends on your destination and the time you can actually reach the station after arrivals, not just the aircraft's scheduled arrival. Tokyo Monorail heads toward Hamamatsucho; Keikyu is a separate rail option worth comparing for other destinations. Haneda Airport lists both, but directs passengers to each railway operator for current timetables and fares.

First decision: start in the public arrivals lobby
After completing entry procedures and entering the public second-floor arrivals lobby at T3, identify the railway by name. Haneda Airport's rail guide locates the T3 ticket gates for travel toward central Tokyo and Yokohama in that arrivals lobby. Tokyo Monorail's own route directions say to turn left from the arrivals exit, pass its ticket machines and gate, and then go up to the third-floor platform for Hamamatsucho. Keep the gate level and the platform level separate; do not mistake Keikyu's facilities for the Monorail gate.
These are directions after reaching the public arrivals area. A passenger remaining airside in transit cannot assume they can enter Japan and use the public station without the applicable entry, airline and security procedures. The operator's illustrated escalator route is not a verified accessible lift itinerary; ask station staff about large baggage or step-free access.

Second decision: match the line to the destination
- Heading toward Hamamatsucho? Check the Hamamatsucho-bound Monorail platform from T3. Look up any onward connection separately.
- Considering Shinagawa or Yokohama? Compare Keikyu on the airport's official rail page. It is a different railway and entrance; this guide does not promise a specific train or through service.
- Heading for Tokyo Station? Compare the current routes and transfers rather than assuming the Monorail goes there directly. The reviewed official pages do not establish one universally fastest route for every time of day.
Fares, ticket media, last departures and actual journey times vary. No fare or clock time in this guide is a live quotation; consult the operator's date-specific timetable and route tools.

Third decision: late arrival and the last useful departure
A first-person traveller's post from January 2026 describes a late T3 arrival and hurrying to catch the Monorail. That is evidence of one person's experience, not current railway operating policy or independently verified last-train data. Do not copy the train time or flight from that story into today's itinerary.
- Verify the actual arrival terminal.
- Allow for immigration, reclaim and the walk to the station. A scheduled landing time is not a ticket-gate entry time.
- Check the same-day T3 Monorail timetable for the direction you need, and separately check other railway options if relevant.
- If rail will not work at your arrival time, check another mode or an overnight stay directly for availability and price. This article does not guarantee a late-night bus, a taxi fare, or a room.
