Before you try to reserve
- Note that October 19 at 2 p.m. is the booking opening, not the start of a lecture.
- Check the Gyeongbokgung event-reservation list under the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center (궁능유적본부). The organizer's October 13 notice says reservation is online only, after identity verification, one ticket per person. It does not accept bookings by phone or on site.
- Check your actual confirmation and the organizer's KakaoTalk notification message (알림톡). A notice or a booking-list page does not prove an available seat or completed reservation. On October 14, the Gyeongbokgung list showed this event as “scheduled to open” on October 19 at 2 p.m., but no booking button was available. Recheck the live status when you apply.

Three checks for the day of your visit
- Separate palace ticket: The lecture is free, but palace entry is not automatically free. The official palace fee table lists the ordinary individual adult price at KRW 3,000 (Korean visitors aged 25–64; foreign visitors aged 19–64). Check current pricing and any applicable exemption for your own circumstances.
- Arrival and start: The organizer says confirmation and entry to Heungbokjeon start at 1:40 p.m. on the event day; entry is not permitted more than five minutes after the lecture starts. The 1:40 entry time is not stated to be the lecture's start time. Confirm the exact start time for your session and bring the notification.
- Rules: Food and drinks are not permitted. The one-ticket-per-person and first-come rules matter if you plan to attend with someone else.
