The 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress was announced for October 19–23 at Gangneung Olympic Park. By late afternoon October 23, the announced October 19 drone show, October 22 ice show and drone-exhibition hours ending at 3 p.m. October 23 had passed; whether these programs actually took place is unverified. The Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced 193 academic sessions, 428 exhibition booths and a public-facing program. These are plans, not attendance figures. This is a record of the announced access categories, not real-time visitor guidance.
Official registration and ice-show pages rechecked October 22 evening: Online congress registration closed October 9; the organizer directed later registrants to the on-site desk. Online ice-show visitor tickets were marked sold out, but its announced October 22 performance time had passed. That guidance does not establish that a visitor received a credential or that a show actually took place.

| Visit purpose at the time | Venue and scope | Access route | Announced timing and unresolved point | Condition requiring separate confirmation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attend academic or policy sessions | Congress session venues | Paid congress registration | Session and registration deadlines varied | Whether the pass included that session |
| See technology exhibits without attending the conference | Exhibition space | Free exhibition-visitor category, without conference sessions | Online registration closed Oct 9; later registration directed to on-site desk | Whether credentials were actually issued and which areas they covered |
| Try an outdoor ITS demonstration | Public zone outside, in front of Hockey Center | Each program's own participation and price; no blanket free-demo claim | No verified zone-wide opening hours or universal reservation rule | Actual time and participation terms for each program |
| ITS ice show (past announced date) | Inside Hockey Center | Announced as free but required a qualifying congress badge or physical ticket | Announced for Oct 22 at 7 p.m.; now past; whether it took place is unverified, online visitor tickets marked sold out | Actual occurrence and admission unverified |
| Drone light show (past announced date) | Announced for in front of Gangneung Convention Center | Viewing/access-control details unverified | Announced for Oct 19 at 8 p.m.; now past; whether it took place is unverified | Actual occurrence and crowd-control terms unverified |
| K-music concert (past announced date) | Venue unconfirmed in the cited release | Fee and reservation unverified | Announced to start at 6 p.m. Oct 23; that time has passed; actual occurrence unverified | Was there a separate venue and entry notice? |
The free exhibition-visitor category does not itself grant access to paid congress sessions. The release does not establish that every outdoor demo, food purchase or market item is free. The indoor ice show was a separate, now-past announced program: its start time was not proof of access without a qualifying badge or physical ticket.

A route through the park, not a single ticket
The ministry places the public zone in the outdoor plaza in front of Hockey Center and mentions a local festival, market, ITS experience area and food trucks there. The ice show was announced inside Hockey Center for October 22; its announced time has passed and its actual occurrence is unverified. The difference between in front of and inside mattered: neither the public-zone location nor an exhibition-visitor badge established admission to the show.
The ministry also lists distinct drone-exhibit and delivery-demonstration schedules in its annex. Do not copy any one of those program hours—or the congress timetable—and label it as opening hours for the entire public zone. The October 19 drone show was announced for in front of the Convention Center; that date has passed, and whether the show took place is unverified. It is not a remaining visit option or evidence of an all-night Hockey Center public zone.

Reading the announced schedule in context
Paid sessions, free exhibition-visitor registration and outdoor programs had distinct access conditions. The ministry's attachment placed the drone exhibition on October 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a period already past by late afternoon. It announced a K-music concert starting at 6 p.m. October 23; that time has passed, and its actual occurrence, venue and entry terms remain unverified. The October 22 ice show was not a remaining visit option. These records do not establish a common public-zone schedule, general admission price or one-size-fits-all booking process.
