The Daejeon municipal recruitment notice describes two separate groups for a 2026 pet-loss psychological-support pilot. It is for Daejeon residents, not a nationwide open application. The notice says enrollment closes when places are filled; it does not establish how many seats remained on October 9. Check the current status and use the right QR code rather than assuming a fixed deadline.
Which group applies to you?
| Group in the Daejeon notice | Places | Application route |
|---|---|---|
| Daejeon residents caring for a pet aged at least 8 | 10 | QR for elderly-pet guardians |
| Daejeon residents who have experienced pet loss | 10 | QR for bereaved guardians |
The total is 20 Daejeon residents. The attached participant guide specifies pets aged eight or older for the first group. It does not set a precise time elapsed since bereavement for the second group. If both groups seem to apply or another condition is unclear, ask the responsible office. Do not borrow eligibility rules from a similar program in a different Korean city.

Find the application QR on the original notice
Recruitment began October 1, 2026 and ends once the places are filled. On the Daejeon city notice, open the attached promotional JPG and scan the QR code for your group. If you are reading on one phone, the codes on that official poster lead to the elderly-pet guardian form and the pet-loss experience form, respectively. A form opening does not establish vacant places or accepted enrollment. If the attachment or form does not open, or the status is unclear, the notice lists the Agriculture and Life Policy Division at 042-270-3851. Check the original page before entering personal information into a search result or unofficial intermediary.
The national ministry's October 8 announcement provides policy context; the local notice and its attachments control this Daejeon intake.
Course schedule and uncertainties
Daejeon's attached guide lists four Fridays (October 23 and 30, November 6 and 13, 2026), 2–4 p.m., at the Pet Culture Center in Daejeon Pet Park, 7 Geumgo-gil, Yuseong-gu. Selected participants must be able to attend all four sessions. Applicants complete preliminary questions, after which organizers review eligibility and suitability. Individual selection notices are planned for October 19, subject to changes in recruitment. The guide does not specify a fee; confirm that with the responsible office. Opening the QR form or applying does not itself secure a place.

This application guide is not mental-health diagnosis or treatment. For a shorter Korean checklist, see the Life Mokcha Naver edition.
