Families can search both childcare centers and kindergartens and keep institutions of interest in one list ahead of applying. That list is a planning aid: it does not submit a form, establish eligibility, reserve a place or confirm admission. Read the specific institution's requirements and check that the portal later shows a completed application.
What does linked administrative data actually replace?
The update is intended to let parents bring in family information to register a child and use public MyData administrative records to check or submit eligible supporting documents online. The attachment describes up to 20 document categories—six associated with childcare centers and 14 with kindergartens—including resident-registration records and family-relationship certificates. This is not a requirement for every family to provide 20 items, nor a guarantee of a completely paper-free process for everyone. Check any consent, child information, eligibility evidence and extra requests shown in the actual portal before submission.
Advance alerts are a reminder, not an outcome
The ministry plans to send advance information about timing and institution search to parents or guardians of children aged 0–5, using the mobile notification service associated with Welfare Membership. The announcement alone does not verify individual enrollment, opt-in settings or delivery to every household. Check the official portal and your own account rather than relying solely on a message. In your calendar, keep October 28 for preparing child details and saved choices separate from November 2 for starting the application.
