Plan a detour to Changi Airport's Sunflower Garden around your permitted transit zone, not just a listing of opening hours. The airport directory places the garden at Terminal 2 (T2), Transit Level 3 and lists it as open 24 hours daily. Neither fact alone authorizes a particular passenger to enter the restricted area.
Checked: October 2, 2026 (KST). The facility listing and transit guidance come from the same airport operator; separate pages are not independent institutional corroboration. The illustrations are generic concepts, not photos, maps or entrances at the actual airport.
First decide which side of the boundary you are on
- Already departing or connecting inside T2 transit: Check your gate before following current terminal signs or the official garden listing toward Transit Level 3. The listing describes night lighting and a runway view, but does not promise what you will see on your travel day.
- Connecting from another terminal: Verify the onward terminal, gate and time margin. Ask the airport or airline whether your actual itinerary lets you reach T2 transit; leave time to return. Do not treat gardens in different terminals as one universally accessible walking route.
- Already through Singapore arrivals or visiting without a flight: Do not treat the transit garden as a landside tourist attraction. Ask your airline whether and when you can check in and complete departure formalities before planning to enter the restricted area.

Then check the itinerary, not only the garden
Changi's transit guide describes connecting passengers as having both flights on the same booking itinerary and checked baggage tagged through to the final destination. If you have to enter Singapore to retrieve baggage or tickets and check in again, applicable entry requirements still matter. Meeting the connection description does not guarantee garden access from every route, skip additional screening, or create spare time before boarding.
- Confirm the onward boarding pass, departure gate and baggage tag.
- If you left transit, ask the airline whether your next departure allows check-in and re-entry.
- Recheck the facility listing and actual signs for the location and operating state.
- Budget the return to the gate before considering a garden visit.

What a 24-hour listing does not settle
The official directory's displayed hours establish the listed schedule, not personal access permission, absence of temporary restrictions, waiting time, or an admission price. We do not convert an unverified price into a promise of free entry. Recheck the current official page and ask locally on your travel day.
An individual visitor post marked edited in August 2025 describes the light and atmosphere on previous visits. That older subjective account does not independently verify today's access or hours. For a shorter Korean search answer, see the Life Mokcha Naver edition.
