A 24-hour garden listing does not solve the first transit question: which side of immigration are you on? Changi Airport's official directory places the Cactus Garden at Terminal 1 (T1), Transit Level 3, and lists it as open 24 hours daily. That is a facility listing, not a live open/closed signal or permission for every traveller to enter the restricted area.
Checked October 3, 2026 (KST). The garden and transit pages cited below have the same airport operator; they are not independent confirmations. These illustrations do not depict the real garden or a navigable route.
Decide by passenger position
- Already in T1's departure/transit area: Check your current gate and remaining time, then compare the official Cactus Garden listing with signs on site. Do not confuse this T1 facility with the separately listed gardens in T2 or T3.
- Connecting from another terminal: Ask the airline or airport whether your particular ticket and itinerary permit travel to the T1 transit area, and reserve enough time to return to your boarding gate. A facility on the same airport map is not automatically reachable from every itinerary.
- Already entered Singapore or visiting without a flight: Do not assume this is a public-area attraction. Confirm that you can check in and complete departure formalities for your next flight before planning a visit.

Transit criteria do not guarantee garden access
Changi's transit guide describes the passenger conditions as both flights on the same booking itinerary and checked luggage tagged through to the final destination. If you must enter Singapore to collect baggage or a ticket and check in again, check the separate entry requirements. Meeting these transit criteria does not establish that your particular route can reach T1's garden, avoid further screening or fit within your connection.
A useful departure-day sequence is: verify the onward boarding pass and gate; ask whether baggage is tagged through; compare the current garden directory and signs; decide how long you can spend there only after allowing for the return to the gate.

What the directory does not settle
The airport describes a rooftop garden of cacti and arid plants and mentions a bar. The garden's listed 24-hour schedule is not evidence that the bar serves drinks at all hours. The reviewed facility entry does not establish current bar hours or prices, a separate garden admission charge, today's crowding, or temporary access restrictions. Recheck the airport listing and on-site staff before relying on any of those details. For a shorter Korean location answer, see the separate Life Mokcha Naver guide.
