Checked on October 7, 2026 (Korea time). The Korea Heritage Service announced four small-concert sessions for Changgyeonggung's greenhouse in Seoul. The application opening is not the concert date, a lottery entry is not a confirmed place, and a free programme is not necessarily free admission to the palace. This is a guide to the announced plan, not a booking or firsthand visit report. The photos show the real greenhouse in earlier years, not the 2026 performance.

Choose between two application windows

October 26, “One Day in October” has two starts: 10:00 and 14:30. Lottery applications are announced for October 8 at 13:00 through October 19 at 13:00. The release says 40 people are drawn per session, with results expected after 17:00 on October 19 by text and on the operator's website. The programme combines a guided walk from Honghwamun, a coffee tasting and music.

October 30 and 31, “An October Morning” has one 08:00 start each day. Its separate lottery window is October 15 at 13:00 through October 23 at 13:00. The announced drawing is 30 people per session, with results expected after 17:00 on October 23. Music and a fragrance programme are described in the original Korean event outline.

These are announced drawing numbers, not live seats remaining; the outline also notes separate invitations. The applicant must be at least 19 years old, and the outline permits up to two tickets per person. It does not establish your individual eligibility, identity-verification steps or whether a submission was accepted. October 8 is the first lottery-entry opening, not a performance.

The three checks that affect your visit

  1. Match the time to the right programme. The October 26 sessions start in mid-morning or afternoon; the October 30/31 sessions start at 08:00. Do not transfer the first application deadline to the morning programme.
  2. Locate check-in before planning arrival. The original outline says booking holders are checked at Honghwamun Gate and escorted to the greenhouse, with a reminder to observe the start time. It does not publish a separate last-arrival minute. Confirm practical instructions in the winner's notice rather than inventing a cutoff.
  3. Separate the two possible charges. The event outline calls programme participation free. The operator's ordinary palace-fee table, separately, lists KRW 1,000 for an individual adult visitor to Changgyeonggung, with the regular age bands stated as Korean visitors aged 25–64 and foreign visitors aged 19–64. Other exemptions or discounts require their own check. The reviewed documents do not resolve whether the event winner's palace admission is included or waived. Do not assume either a zero total or an extra charge for everyone: ask the operator or inspect the actual booking/winner notice.

What to do when the application opens

Use the event title, date and window in the issuing agency's release as your identity check. On October 7, the operator's integrated reservation listing under Changgyeonggung did not yet display this concert. That is a bounded pre-opening observation, not evidence of cancellation or sellout. Only use an actual event-specific application entry once its title, session and dates match; a button for another Changgyeonggung event is not the concert form. The press release names the Changgyeonggung Management Office site as the application route. The precise event-specific application entry still needs verification when applications open.

Keep the submitted application separate from the October 19 or 23 drawing results, then recheck admission inclusion, meeting instructions and any programme change against the operator's winner notice. The office number printed in the original release is 02-2172-0106. Coffee details, programme duration and a weather policy are not established here.
