Checked October 7, 2026, Korea time. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Personal Information Protection Commission announced the third Everyone’s Discussion Forum (모두의 토론회) on the safe use of personal data in the AI era. The operator's event detail lists November 1, 13:00–18:00, at Baekyangnuri Grand Ballroom, Yonsei University, Seoul, with 200 in-person participants sought. Applying for a seat and sending an online opinion are different actions. This is not an account of attending or completing an application.
In-person applications: the announced date window ends October 11
The official event detail gives October 1–11 as the application period; the operator's listing displayed “Recruiting” when checked October 7. No closing hour was verified. Do not assume the form remains open until midnight on the final day; recheck the official listing before submitting.
The “Apply to attend” button on the government operator's event detail leads to a Google Form. Because the form asks for personal information, follow the official operator's link yourself rather than trusting an isolated URL. Submitting a form does not guarantee selection; the official detail says selection considers demographic balance, including age, gender and region.
The first page of the linked form says applicants must be at least 14 (born before November 1, 2012). If selected, applicants under 19 are expected to provide guardian consent. The form also says applicants must agree to event photography, video recording and online livestreaming; it mentions a modest participation payment without an amount. These are conditions displayed on the current linked form, not assertions from the original press release. Review the full privacy notice and terms before entering personal data.

Online opinions: announced, but no active third-forum entry was visible
The October 1 announcement says everyone may submit pre-event views via Sotong Innovation 24 (소통혁신24). Yet on October 7, the operator's online discussion list showed entries only for the first and second forums. A filter for the third AI-privacy topic showed no submission item. An announced channel is not proof that its particular form is currently open. Check the official list later for an actual third-forum entry rather than using a button attached to an earlier topic.
An online comment, if that route opens, is not an application for one of the in-person places. Conversely, an attendance application does not automatically express an online opinion. Read the terms and privacy notice of the route you choose.

A short pre-participation checklist
- Can you travel to the Seoul venue for November 1, 13:00–18:00, if selected? Confirm the current status on the official event page.
- Before applying, read the real-name, age, guardian-consent, filming and privacy statements in the operator-linked form. The official event detail says selected applicants are expected to be contacted individually on October 20; it says unsuccessful applicants will not receive a separate notice. This is a planned contact date, not a guarantee that notification will be completed that day. No application closing hour was verified.
- If you want only to express a view, return to the online discussion list and look for a third-forum topic entry. This article does not claim it is currently open.
